How to start and terminate your work
Keep the

of the UPS unit depressed until
the unit switches on (see enclosed User's guide of the
UPS unit).
Close the cover again.
After having carried out the checks mentioned in para-

the X-ray unit switching on, release the key to position

.
Switch on the monitors if they have not been switched
on together with the unit.

out a self-test first.
After a short moment, the display illustrated appears. In the upper screen area, a
test image
appears, in
the lower screen area, the
indication field
(

appears on the second screen with a second indication field (

from the mains for a longer period of time.

In units equipped with
power fail buffer
*
you have to wait about 3 seconds after
the end of a power failure before you can
switch on again.
If you have
just turned off
the unit also
wait at least 3 seconds before turning on
again.
I
In case of emergency, you can always
switch off conveyors and X-ray generat-
ors of the X-ray unit or the complete unit
by actuating one of the
emergency stop
buttons
(for the restart see next para-
graph).
