ONFIGURATION
Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) is a communication protocol
designed specifically for managing devices on a network. SNMP is typically
used to configure devices for proper operation in a network environment,
as well as to monitor them to evaluate performance or detect potential
problems.
The ADSL Router can be managed locally or remotely by SNMP.

The following items are displayed on this pages:

SNMP
— Enables/disables SNMP. (Default: Enabled)

System Description
— A name given to identify the ADSL Router.
◆
System Contact
— The name of the system contact person.
◆
System Name
— A description of the unit. (Default: Wireless ADSL
Modem/Router)

System Location
— The location of the ADSL Router.
◆
Trap IP Address
— Destination IP address of the SNMP trap.
◆
Community Name (Read-only)
— Name of the read-only
community. This read-only community allows read operation to all
objects in the Management Information Base (MIB).
◆
Community Name (Read-Write)
— Name of the write-only
community. This write-only community allows write operations to
objects defined as read-writable in the MIB.
