Effect of Temperature
The temperature coefficient of the sensitivity (change in
sensitivity as a function of temperature, with the entire
SlimLine force link at the same temperature) is negligible.
However, changes in temperature during measurement re-
sult in an error signal in the form of a drift of the zero. This
temperature drift is a function of the quantity of heat in-
troduced. For critical applications, design measures protect-
ing the SlimLine force link against substantial temperature
fluctuations are recommended.

Tips for Good Measurement
Always store the measuring instruments in the room in
which measurement is performed.
Leave the connecting cable permanently connected to
both the sensor and the measuring instrument. If this is
not possible, put the protective caps back on the con-
nectors.
Mount the sensor exactly as specified.
Switch the measuring instrument on approximately one
hour before the first measurement.
Set the sensitivity of the sensor to the value specified on
the calibration certificate.
Choose the measuring range and scaling of the output
voltage to ensure the value of the maximum measure-
ment lies in the 50 to 100 % range.
Avoid changes in temperature during measurement.
Do not start the measurement process (Operate) until
just before the actual measurement.
