Before placing the pressure cooker on a delicate surface, i.e., a vitroceramic hob,
ensure that the base of the pressure cooker is perfectly clean
Important
If steam leaks out of the pressure cooker
1 – Remove the pressure cooker from the heat source
2 – Remove the rotating valve to release all the steam
3 – Close the lid very tightly (three full turns) and place it back on the stove
7 - Cleaning and Maintenance
- Once you have finished cooking empty all the food from the pressure cooker.
Wash it immediately to prevent damage to the metal by salty or acidic food. Tepid
water and a washing-up liquid are all you need.
- If you prefer, you can wash the pressure cooker body in the dishwasher.
- The lid must always be hand-washed.
- Never use abrasive products or steel wool
- Do not use bleach nor chlorine compounds
- To remove odours from the pressure cooker, boil up some vinegar in the base until
it begins to evaporate
- The pressure cooker safety devices must not be altered or modified under any
circumstances. Only use original parts to replace safety devices or other major parts.
- Whenever a safety device fails, stop using the pressure cooker.
If the pressure cooker is unusable after replacing the damaged parts, contact your
reseller.
Cleaning the operating and safety systems
- Clean the valve pin with a strong spray of water or with a needle.
- Clean the base of the safety valve and ensure it is working properly by applying
slight pressure to the valve on the inner side of the lid. It should be easy to raise.
Ensure that the valve is not clogged up with food.
How to store the pressure cooker
After rinsing and wiping the pressure cooker dry, store it open. Turn the lid upside down
to ensure the gasket dries properly
- If your Pressure Cooker shows lime-scale or other stains, clean it with an appropriate
stainless steel cleaning product.
