Components and Characteristics

1 – Top handle screw
2 – Top handle in Bakelite
3 – Central screw

(see “Pressure Cooking”)
8 – Stainless steel lid
9 – Gasket
10 – Stainless steel pot with handles
11 – Handle in Bakelite
12 – Screw for fastening the handles

Service pressure– 45 kPa
Maximum pressure (PS) – 65 kPa
All our pressure cookers are made of 18/10 stainless steel

All parts must always be replaced by original Sitraclassic components
We recommend that you replace the gasket twelve months.

No changes should be made to the safety devices. Only original spare parts must
be used when replacing any of these devices or any other important safety parts.

BEFORE USING FOR THE FIRST TIME

- Check that the pressure cooker is suitable for use with your cooker hob.
-  If using on an electric or ceramic hob, always use a smaller- or same-diameter
burner as the pressure cooker base. Always check that the pressure cooker base is
clean to avoid damage to your ceramic hob.
- If using on gas hob, adjust the flame length so that they do not extend beyond the
pressure cooker base.
- Before using for the first time boil up the contents of one glass of water and two
glasses of milk with the juice of a lemon in your pressure cooker (obviously you should
not drink this!).
-  Wash your pressure-cooker carefully in hot water with a little washing-up liquid.
