Place this unit vertically in a vessel filled with
water.
A: Syringe with hose
B: AquaScat S
C: Checking unit
D: Vessel filled with clean water

Slowly draw out the syringe (A) until water is
drawn in and no more bubbles are visible (fig-
ure under step 5).
The checking unit must be covered by at
least one finger width of water.
7.
Carry out recalibration with SICON (M):
1.
Switch the SICON to service operation as
described in Section 7.11.
2.
Select the
Recalibration
menu and then
press
C1
. Check whether the nominal val-
ue is correct.
3.
Press the
initiate...
button.
4.
Recalibration is carried out.
8.
Adjustment successful:
If the adjustment was successful, this is con-
firmed with
Adjustment OK
. Recalibration is
now complete.
Adjustment not successful:
If the adjustment was
not successful
, this is
indicated with
Adjust. fault
. In this case,
check the points in the following list one after
the other:
Cleanliness of the checking unit?
Correct checking unit used?
Soiled sapphire windows in the instru-
ment?
In this case, clean the windows as de-
scribed in Section 9.4and then repeat the
procedure.
Clean potable water used?
Is the checking unit correctly locked in
place (see step 4)?
Is there still free space between the check-
ing unit and the sapphire window?
