Playback via Connected PC
If you want to view your saved files on your PC, you can directly connect the Wildlife
Camera using the supplied mini USB cable. This allows for viewing of the saved files
without the removal of the installed micro SD card.
Follow the steps below to view files on your PC without removing the micro SD card.
CAUTION:
Do not remove the micro SD card from the Wildlife Camera.
1. Power on your PC and allow it to set up.
2. Fully uncoil the mini USB cable.
3. Insert the mini USB cable into the mini USB port located on the bottom of the
Wildlife Camera.
4. Connect the other end of the mini USB cable to a USB port on your PC.
5. Once the Wildlife Camera is connected to your PC, 'MSDC' will display on the camera’s
viewing screen and it will appear as a USB drive within your PC’s operating system.
6. Access the drive and open the folder labelled DCIM. Within this folder there will be
a sub folder labelled 100TLCAM, open this folder to access the saved files.
7. Playback or view the files using you PC’s operating system as you would any still
image or video file.
8. You can also copy or move the still images and video files onto your PC drives.
9. Once you have finished viewing the files on your PC, close the folder first and then
follow the normal procedures for ejecting devices from PC’s safely.
10. Remove the mini USB cable from your PC and the Wildlife Camera.
NOTE: The Wildlife Camera does not require a power source (batteries or power
adaptor) for viewing or transferring files when connected to a PC. To connect your
Wildlife Camera to your PC, follow the instructions above.
NOTE: The mini USB cable does not power the Wildlife Camera.
NOTE: To transfer your files from your Wildlife Camera to your PC, set the Wildlife
Camera to the OFF mode. The files will be transferred to your PC via the mini USB
(data) cable. You do not need to switch the Wildlife Camera ON.
