NOTE:
The micro SD card can be formatted in the Wildlife Camera without connecting
to another device. Refer to the menu options and settings on pages 19-22.
NOTE: Remember, still images and video recordings cannot be taken or saved unless
a micro SD card has been inserted into the Wildlife Camera, and the menu modes
and functions cannot be accessed.
Inserting the Batteries
The Wildlife Camera comes with 8 x AA Activ Energy® batteries in the box for your
convenience.
Where external power is not available the Wildlife Camera can be powered by 8 x AA
batteries which are fitted internally. Refer to the below instructions for how to insert
the batteries.
1. Release the locking brackets on the side of the Wildlife Camera and open the
protective case (Fig. 2).
2. Gently pull the string towards you until it releases and lift the battery compartment
cover off. All polarities are marked inside the battery compartment for your
convenience.
3. Insert the batteries into the compartment ensuring the polarities are correct (Fig. 3).

4. Replace the battery compartment cover and make sure it ‘clicks’ into position.
5. The battery energy available will be displayed in the bottom left hand corner of the
viewing screen (when the Wildlife Camera is in the SETUP mode).
6. Close the protective case and lock the brackets.
