6.2 Note
•
The DIN rail must have an adequate connection to mass.
•
The digital inputs, which suppress noise signals, allow for operation in harsh environmen-
tal conditions. A careful wiring method is also recommended to ensure error-free function.
Avoid parallel connections between input lines with load-bearing circuits.
•
For the motor wiring, a shielded cable is required. The shield must be placed as close as
possible to the module.
•
The shielding must be connected to a shielding bus.
The ground bus should be connected to the control cabinet when possible!
The maximum length of the encoder and motor cables is 30 m.
CAUTION The S-DIAS module CANNOT be connected/disconnected while voltage is
applied!
