2. Quick Start Steps
This section guides you through the steps to configure the XM0110 Development Kit Daughter Board
and Embedded Module Development Kit to:
Use the GPS AT Command set, to be executed on the Embedded Module, to drive the
XM0110
Receive the NMEA frame on the HyperTerminal
This section is for use of XM0110 UART serial interface. To use I2C interface, please refer to section
3.4.1 for I2C specific hardware configuration, to document [2] for the AT commands for I2C settings.

2.1.
Check Your Material
The AirPrime XM0110 Evaluation Kit box contains the following components:
1 XM0110 Development Kit Daughter Board
1 GPS active antenna
To start using AirPrime XM0110 Evaluation Kit, you need in addition:
An AirPrime Embedded Module Development Kit,
A Q268xG/Q268xRD, SL6087 or WMP100/WMP150 AirPrime Embedded Module loaded with
an application with GPS AT Command. You can refer to section 2.4.2 for assistance on how
to check for or load the Extended AT Command Application that supports GPS AT commands
And a PC to drive the Development Kit over a serial interface.

Start Using AirPrime XM0110
You can use Sierra Wireless Discovery Tool to easily start step by step your AirPrime XM0110 with an
intuitive Windows
®
PC interface.
