Caution
Do not throw new or discharged batteries into a fire and do not
solder onto the cell (max. temperature 100
o
C (212
o
F)). Do not
recharge them: there is a risk of explosion. Do not open the
battery, and only replace it with the same type. Replacements
should only be procured from SIEMENS (see ordering
information for the order number). This ensures that you have a
short-circuit protected type.
The lithium battery is subject to the dangerous goods regulations.
Observe these when dispatching the battery. For example, you
can use the original packaging.
All batteries with a residual charge should be discharged with a
10 ohm resistor or flashlight bulb until a no-load voltage can no
longer be measured.
Lithium thionyl chloride batteries without residual charge should
be sent in for recycling.
