Reading out diagnostic information of the safety module 
Follow these steps to display the diagnostic information of an Extension Unit PROFIsafe that 

is connected to a PLC. 
1.

 

Press the "Go online" button. 

 

2.

 

Select slot 0 of the Extension Unit PROFIsafe in the device view and click on the green 

check mark in the top right-hand corner of the safety module. 

 

The Diagnostics window opens. 

 

In the Diagnostics window you have access to the advanced functions "Firmware update" 

and "Reset to factory settings", among other things.
