4.2.1.22 Read and Reset Slave Status
Meaning
With this call, the status of a slave is read out and at the same time the status register of the slave is
deleted.
The flags of the status register have the following significance:
S0 “Address
volatile”
This flag is set
- when the internal slave routine for permanent storage of the slave address is
active. This can take up to 15 ms and must not be interrupted by a further
addressing call.
- when the internal slave address comparison recognizes that the
stored address is not the same as the entry in the address register.
S1
“Parity error detected”
This flag is set when the slave has recognized a parity error in a received frame
since the last “read and reset status” job.
S2
“End bit error detected”
This flag is set when the AS-i slave has recognized an end bit error in a received
frame since the last “read and reset status” job.
S3
“Read error non-volatile memory”
This flag is set when a read error has occurred when reading the non-volatile
memory.
