6.2 Installing the Mini card

Open up the device cover and set it along with the drive
vertically up against the side of the device. Lay the
cover aside.
Notice: Connection plug and board can be damaged.
•
Ensure that the device cover does not fall down.
•
Remove the connection plug from the drive.
Procedure - closing the device.
Close the device in reverse order.

Installing the Mini card
This device supports the below expansion cards:
●
a half-size mini card: you can install a half-size mini PCIe card into this slot.
●
a full-size mini card: you can install a mSATA card or a USB2.0 card in this slot
Note
Power consumption
If the power consumption of the Mini cards are too high, the device will be damaged.
Ensure that the power consumption amounts to a maximum of 1 W.
Ambient temperature
The temperature in the enclosure of the IPC can be up to 25 °C above the maximum
permissible ambient temperature of the device.
Make sure that the maximum permissible ambient temperature of the Mini cards are
specified accordingly.
Note
If you want to use both of the two slots, insert the half-size mini card first.
