Connecting and disconnecting the device
The following section describes the connection of the cables to the interfaces.
Requirement

Back cover IP20 is mounted

Interface cover has been removed

Cable ties

Wire cutter
Procedure
The following procedure is an example using the TP2200 Comfort. The procedure applies accordingly to all corresponding
devices listed in section "Validity (Page 14)".
Wiring
1.
Connect the cables.
The connection of the cables is described in the relevant document of the particular device.
Note
You can use either X2 PROFIBUS or X3 PROFINET (LAN) with the TP1500 Comfort
If the back cover IP20 is mounted to a TP1500 Comfort, an angled connector must be used for connection to the
X2 PROFIBUS interface, for example: 6ES7972-0BA30-0XA0, 6ES7972-0BA42-0XA0, 6ES7972-0BB42-0XA0,
6ES7972-0BA60-0XA0 or 6ES7972-0BB60-0XA0.
If an angled PROFIBUS connector is connected with the X2 PROFIBUS interface, the angled connector covers up the
X3 PROFINET (LAN) interface.
You can either use the X2 PROFIBUS interface with an angled PROFIBUS connector or the X3 PROFINET (LAN)
interface.

Secure the connected cables with cable ties to he fastening elements of the back cover IP20. The figure below shows an
example.

Connect the interface cover according to section "Opening and closing the interface cover (Page 20)".
Disconnecting
For disconnecting, follow the steps for connecting in reverse order. Close the interface cover.
