19" or 22" device:
NOTICE
For 19" and 22" devices do not remove all screws
For reasons concerning the operational safety of the device, it is not permitted to remove all screws.
Do not remove the screws marked with a circle. Each of these is covered by a curvature in the backplane cover IP20.
4.
Store the removed screws aside in case you want to use the device later without backplane cover.
5.
Place the backplane cover IP20 on the rear of the HMI device.
6.
Remove from the accessory kit the required number of screws to fasten the back cover IP20.
Note
Use only the screws supplied in the accessory kit for mounting.
7.
Tighten the screws.
The permitted torque is 0.8 Nm.
8.
Applies to SIMATIC Industrial Thin Client:
Glue the label (contained in the accessory kit) for interface labeling of the SIMATIC Industrial Thin Client onto the
backplane cover IP20 so that the existing label for interface labeling is completely covered.
Mounting of the backplane cover IP20 is now complete.
Removal
For removal, follow the mounting steps in reverse order. For re-mounting, use the screws stored according to work step 3.
