3. Carefully remove the earphone from the housing, feeding the blue 
headphone lead through the aperture in the housing 
 
4. The earphone may then be inverted and placed on to the ear-cushion to 
support it (as shown below – Step 6) 
 
5. Choose a screwdriver that fits the slot in the lead retaining screw (for 
example a jeweller’s screwdriver) 
 
6. Slacken, but do not remove, both lead retaining screws for the left 
(blue) lead plug in the earphone (see below) 
 

 

 
7. Remove the blue 2-pin plug from the earphone and withdraw it through 
the aperture in the housing 
 
8. Feed the left (blue) plug from the new headphone lead through the 
aperture in the housing, fit it into the earphone and tighten both lead 
retaining screws finger-tight 
 
9. While supporting the earphone, feed the left (blue) lead and plug back 
through the aperture in the housing, locating the earphone in the housing 
 
10. Beginning at one side of the earphone assembly carefully re-attach the 
ear-cushion by gently pulling it over the edge of the earphone and behind 
the lip of the plastic housing of the headset
