5.11
Oiltemperature monitoring
The gear unit can be fitted with a temperature monitor for measuring the oil temperature in the oil sump.
In order to measure the temperatures and/or temperature differences, the temperature monitor should be
connected to an evaluating device by the customer.
Be sure to observe the operating instructions of the temperature monitoring device for
operation and maintenance.
5.12
Indication of oil level
The gear unit is fitted with an oillevel indicator (oil dipstick) for visual oillevel checking at standstill.
Checking of the oil level can be carried out by looking at the MIN and MAX marks of the oil dipstick when
the oil has cooled down.
A view of the gear unit can be obtained from the drawings in the gearunit documentation.
If an oil dipstick is fitted, the oil level must be at the middle of the oilsight glass.
5.13
Oillevel monitoring system
The gear unit can be fitted with an oillevel monitor by means of a fillinglevel limit switch. This monitoring
is designed as a standstill monitoring (gear unit stop) and checks the level of the oil before the unit is started
up.
For an illustration of the gear unit and the position of the addon parts, please refer to the drawings of the
gearunit documentation.
Be sure to observe the operating instructions of the oillevel monitoring device for operation
and maintenance.
5.14
Speed transmitter
An incremental speed transmitter may be mounted. Wiring and evaluation instrument should be provided
by the customer.
Be sure to observe the operating instructions of the speed transmitter for operation and
maintenance.
