NW8202 IP configuration download tool 

7.  Click Download. 

  The Download Procedure window displays. 

8.  Follow the instructions. 

Note: The network cable must be connected to the NK8237 Ethernet port 1 or 2 

depending on the IP address set in the service PC (to locate the correct 

Ethernet port, see Ethernet interfaces [➙ 22]). Also, you must set to ON the 

appropriate DIP switch: DIP switch 1 to use Ethernet port 1; DIP switch 2 to 

use Ethernet port 2 (see Internal DIP switches [➙ 18]). 

Note: For direct connection between PC and NK8237, you can use either a 

crossed or straight-through Cat. 5 twisted pair patch cable. In fact, NK8237 

supports automatic crossover. 

  When the download is in progress, the FTP Diagnostic window displays the 

current status of the download. 

  Once the operation is completed, the final status notification and instruction 

window displays. 

9.  Follow the instructions displayed in the final instruction window. 
10. Disconnect the NK8237 from the PC, and replace the cover. 
11. Reset the Service PC IP address to the original address. 

  Now the NK8237 is reachable from the DMS8000 system, and is ready to 

receive the full configuration download, which is carried out from Composer.
