Start-Up of Multiline System
Generator Start-Up without High Voltage

Checking the Display on the Operating PC

•
Set the SS switch to
OFF
and ZK to
ON
(Fig. 1) on board D100 of the generator.
•
Switch the system
ON
. The Operating PC must display the following default settings:

Click the kV or mAs displays, the fields for changing the kV and mAs appear.
•
Scroll through the kV fields from 40 kV to 150 kV by clicking the ± kV button.
•
Select 40 kV and scroll through the mAs values from 0.5 mAs (POLYDOROS SX)
1.25 mAs (POLYDOROS LX) to 800 mAs by clicking the ± mAs button.
•
Select 150 kV. The mAs value can be changed from 1.25 mAs to 630 mAs.
Checking the Anode Starter

(only if the cassette option is present)
•
Install the cassette holder and insert a cassette (35 x 43).
•
Remove the cassette holder.

Switch the system
OFF

•
Set the SS switch on board D100 to
ON
(Fig.1)..
•
Connect the oscilloscope to the appropriate test points on board D100 to check the tube
voltage and the tube current for the following adjustments:
•
Remove the jumper from the mAs sockets on board D220 (on the H1 high voltage
transformer).
•
Connect an mAs meter to the test sockets.
•
Switch the system
ON

80 % power

Press switch S27 to prep

the rotating anode starts up.
•
Release switch S27
›
the rotating anode stops.
The following measurements are performed with radiation ON.
Adhere to the radiation protection precautions.
Maintain the required cooling pauses for the X-ray tube.
