Meaning of the Functions
A brief description of all possible functions is provided below (see also
Æ
7).
The functions you can use depend on the individual class of service of your
telephone and on the configuration of your system.
Accepting a waiting call
(call waiting)
While a call is in progress you can answer a second call that is waiting. You
can also deactivate the audible signal (waiting tone off).
Account code
You can assign the call data of external connections to specific projects
(codes).
Advisory message
You can leave predefined messages on your telephone for internal callers to
read. You can add numeric entries (time and date). When a caller places a call,
this message will appear on the caller’s display.
Appointments
You can enter a single appointment that will take place in the next twenty-four
hours or enter a daily recurring appointment.
Assign station number
(not for U.S.)
Before you dial an external number, you can assign a different telephone num-
ber to your own line and have this number appear on the called party’s dis-
play.
Associated dialing
You can set up connections for other telephones.
Associated service
You can activate and deactivate functions for other telephones.
Boss ringing
(only if set up in an executive or secretary group and a key is configured)
Normally, audible signaling of all calls for the executive is heard only in the
secretary’s office. You can activate audible signaling so that calls are also sig-
naled on the executive telephone and on a second telephone assigned to it.
Call forwarding

Your calls can be forwarded to another telephone including external destina-
tions.
Call pickup - directed

You can answer calls for another telephone from your own telephone.
Call pickup - group
You can pick up calls for telephones within a call pickup group from your tele-
phone.
Call ringing group - on
You can signal calls on other telephones and answer them there, for example
if you are away from your station or your line is busy.
Call transfer/Start transfer

If the person you are speaking to wants to talk to another party, you can dial
the other party and transfer the call.
Release 2.2 and later: you can announce and transfer a call to a group of users
with a speaker call.
