ADJUSTING THE HORIZONTAL CARRIAGE GUIDE SHOES
1)
Loosen the 4 lock nuts (1) and (2) on the carriage.
2)
Using a lever (6) (e.g., a tyre lever) inserted in the slot (4) of the carriage
(3) exercise sufficient pressure to push the guide shoe located below it
(7) against the guide (8) fixed to the tyre changer base.
3)
Lock the nuts (1) and release the lever.
4)
Repeat the same operation on the other guide shoe through the slot (5)
on the carriage.
NOTE:
Do not use excessive pressure with the lever on the sliding shoes. On this carriage, play, if any, causes
very little wear on the moving components; correct adjustment will therefore ensure minimum play
between coupled parts.
5. STORING
If the machine has to be stored for a long time (3-4 months), you should:
1)
Lower the vertical carriage completely.
2)
Disconnect the machine from the electric power source.
3)
Grease all parts that could be damaged if they become too dry:
- vertical carriage slides
- horizontal carriage slides
- spindle shaft
- spindle drive pin.
4)
Drain completely the hydraulic power pack reservoir using its drain plug.
5)
Protect the machine from dust by covering it with plastic sheets.
Before using the machine after a period in storage:
1)
Re-fill the hydraulic power pack reservoir with hydraulic fluid.
2)
Reconnect the machine to its electric power source.
6. SCRAPPING A MACHINE
When your machine’s working life is over and it can no longer be used, it must be made inoperative by disconnecting it
from all power sources.
This equipment is considered as special waste material, and should therefore be broken down into uniform parts and
disposed of in compliance with current laws and regulations.
If the packing is polluting or non-biodegradable, deliver them to appropriate handling stations.
