UNPACkING AND SET-UP

CHARGING bATTERY

1.   Remove dust housing from base of unit by pressing the release button (located by the on/off 

switch) and pull the dust housing away from the base.

2.  Ensure the cartridge filter and foam sleeve are installed on the filter cage located on the base 

of the unit.

3.   Replace dust housing by aligning tabs on the bottom of the base with the slots on the bottom 

of the dust housing.  Push dust housing towards base until you hear the top of the dust 

housing snap into place.

4.  Mount the wall bracket following the instructions and illustrations under Mounting Wall 

Bracket/Charger section of this manual.

5.  Charge the unit following the instructions and illustrations under the Charging Battery section 

of this manual.  

6.  Refer to the Installing Accessories section of this manual, if your cleaning project requires a 

special tool.

7.  Your cleaner is ready for use.  

NOTE: Use for dry pick up only.

MOUNTING bRACkET/CHARGER

NOTE: THE BATTERY PACK HAS BEEN SHIPPED IN A LOW CHARGE CONDITION. BATTERY 

REQUIRES AN INITIAL FULL CHARGE (12- 16 HOURS) PRIOR TO FIRST USE. OPTIMUM 

PERFORMANCE OF UNIT WILL BE ACHIEVED AFTER BATTERY HAS BEEN CHARGED AND 

USED THREE TIMES.

 

WARNING

TURN UNIT OFF BEFORE CHARGING 

BATTERy PACk.

1.  Position unit with the underside of the unit 

facing the bracket and the dust housing 

facing the ceiling.

2.  Align charging jack on base of unit located 

between vents with charger plug in center 

of the wall bracket 

(Figure 2).

3.  Push downward on the unit until it is fully 

inserted into the wall bracket base 

(Figure 

3). Light on charger will be red when unit 

is charging and change to green when it is 

fully charged.

4.  If the unit does not charge while it is 

connected to the wall bracket and the wall bracket is plugged into an outlet, the battery 

charger or the battery in the unit may be bad. Battery must be recycled or disposed of 

properly.  Customers in the United States, for further disposal information call 1-800-822-

8837. Customers in Canada, for further disposal information call 1-800-8-BATTERY or 

1-877-2-RECYCLE.

19.  Turn unit off before removing the battery pack. 
20.  Use special care when emptying heavily loaded tanks.
21.  The battery must be recycled, do not dispose of battery assembly in a trash receptacle. Call 

1-800-822-8837 for recycling information.

22.  Use only the charger supplied by the manufacturer to recharge battery pack.
23.  To avoid spontaneous combustion, empty tank after each use.
24.  The operation of a utility vac can result in foreign objects being blown into eyes, which can 

result in eye damage. Always wear safety goggles when operating vacuum.

STAy ALERT. Watch what you are doing and use common sense. Do not use vacuum 

cleaner when you are tired, distracted or under the influence of drugs, alcohol or medication 

causing diminished control.

WARNING! Do NOT use this vacuum cleaner to vacuum lead paint debris because this may 

disperse fine lead particles into the air. This vacuum cleaner is not intended for use under 

EPA Regulation 40 CFR Part 745 for lead paint material cleanup.

INSTALLING CARTRIDGE FILTER

     WARNING

ALWAyS TURN THE UNIT OFF BEFORE 

REmOvING THE DUST HOUSING.

1.   If not already installed, slide foam sleeve down over outside of cartridge filter

 (Figure 4).

2.   With dust housing removed from base of unit, slide the cartridge/foam filter assembly down 

over filter cage, pushing until the filter seals against base

 (Figure 5).

3.   To clean filters, remove the filter assembly by holding onto the handle of unit and pull, while 

twisting, the filter assembly off the filter cage

 (Figure 6).

4.   Remove foam sleeve from cartridge filter by gently pulling foam sleeve off of cartridge filter

 

(Figure 7).

5.   To clean cartridge filter, shake or brush off excess dirt

 (Figure 8) or rinse (from the inside of 

the filter) with water 

(Figure 9). Dry completely.

6.   To clean foam sleeve, shake excess dirt off with a rapid up and down movement 

(Figure 

10) or rinse (from the inside of the filter) with water for a minute or two (Figure 11). Gently 

squeeze out excess water, blot with a clean towel and allow to dry completely. Reinstall onto 

dry cartridge filter. 

7.   Reinstall cartridge/foam filter assembly onto filter cage.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

CAUTION

 – keeP filTeRS CleAN

EFFICIENCY OF THE VACUUM IS LARGELY DEPENDENT ON THE FILTER. A CLOGGED 

FILTER CAN CAUSE OVERHEATING AND POSSIBLY DAMAGE THE CLEANER. CHECK THE 

FILTER PERIODICALLY AND REPLACE AS REQUIRED. DO NOT MACHINE WASH OR DRY. 

DO NOT USE THE VACUUM OR FILTERS FOR COLLECTING HAZARDOUS OR OTHER 

HEALTH ENDANGERING MATERIALS.

DRY PICk UP OPERATION

1.  Choose a location where the battery charger plug can reach an 

outlet to mount the wall bracket. The location should be strong 

enough to hold the combined weight of the vacuum and the wall 

bracket.  Do not place charger in an area of extreme heat or cold.  

Charger works best at temperatures above 50º F (10º C) and below 

100º F (38º C).

2.  Mount the wall bracket to a wall stud 

(Figure 1).  Secure with 

hardware provided.  

NOTE: An inadequately mounted wall bracket 

could become loose and fall, causing injury or damage to the 

vacuum.

3.  Plug battery charger into wall outlet. The glowing green light indicates charger is ready to 

begin charging.
