• You can listen to Internet radio broadcasts as well as

DAB broadcasts.

Internet Radio

• Internet radio refers to radio broadcasts distributed over

the internet. This unit includes the full vTuner Internet
Radio Service at no additional charge.

• Once you have connected this unit to the Internet, you

can search for and play Internet radio broadcasts at any
time.

• You can also search for Internet radio stations by entering

the name, etc.

Note :

• There are many Internet radio stations on the Internet,

and the quality of the programs they broadcast as well as
the bit rate of the tracks varies widely. Generally, the
higher the bit rate, the higher the sound quality, but
depending on the communication lines and server traffic,
the music or audio signals being streamed may be
interrupted. Inversely, lower bit rates mean a lower sound
quality but less tendency for the sound to be interrupted.

DAB(Digital Audio Broadcasting)/DAB+

• Since the DAB system is broadcasted in digital format,

DAB system can supply crystal-clear audio and stable
reception. DAB is a new generation radio which can
provide data service and supplementary multi-media
services.

• DAB broadcasts mutiple services under one ensemble

called service components.

• Each components contains unique programs : news,

music, sports, and any more.

• Each ensemble and service component has its label, and

users can recognize a current broadcasting station and
service contents by using the label.

• The main service component is broadcast as Primary

while the others are broadcast as Secondary.

• Rich character information is supported through dynamic

labels, including such information as song title, artist
composer, etc.

• DAB+ is based on the original DAB standard but uses a

more efficient audio codec. Whereas DAB uses MPEG
Audio Layer II(better konown as MP2), DAB+ uses HE-
AAC v2(better known as MP4 or AAC+).
