IV-3-4. RADIUS
The RADIUS sub menu allows you to configure the
AP-300’s RADIUS server settings, categorized into
three submenus: RADIUS settings, Internal Server and RADIUS accounts.
A RADIUS server provides user-based authentication to improve security and
offer wireless client control – users can be authenticated before gaining
access to a network.
The AP-300 can utilize both a primary and secondary (backup) RADIUS server
for each of its wireless frequencies (2.4GHz & 5GHz). External RADIUS servers
can be used or the AP-300’s internal RADIUS server can be used.
To use RADIUS servers, go to
“Wireless Settings”
“Security”
and
select
“MAC RADIUS Authentication”
“Additional
Authentication”
and select
“MAC RADIUS Authentication”
(see
IV-3-1-3.
&
IV-3-2-3
).
