Giotto 1500

User’s Manual 1.02

- 65 -

Internal surfaces:

To clean internal surfaces proceed as follows:

Dichroic or texturized glass filters, optical components such as ZOOM lenses and dichroic
reflector have to be cleaned by using a light cloth with ethyl alcohol.

Dichroic gobos: wet a light cloth with alcohol or acetone. Rub kindly glass surface. Handle the
gobo by holding it at the edges (as if it were a CD), don’t touch the area with the inside
scheme because it could be damaged.

Mechanichal parts:

ZOOM:
Use a light cloth with acetone to remove dirt and dust from the two slide bars in the zoom lens
group. Grease with some Teflon spray grease.

FOCUS:
Use a light cloth with acetone to remove dirt and dust from the two slide bars in the focus lens
group. Grease with some Teflon spray grease.

BELTS and O-RING:
Belts tension and their conditions have to be checked periodically:
1.

COLOUR WHEEL  belt:
It is very strong and it does not need any maintenance.

2.

PAN and TILT belts:
these belts are very strong and are rarely subject to failures. Neverthless, they could work
loose, thus their tension should be checked periodically.

Air passage fans:

Fans have not to be obstructed by dust. Use a tape cleaner to remove dirt from fans, which are in
the head and in the base.

Ventole passaggio aria:
