3.3 Start-up
Switch on the electronics. The LCD on the cabinet will enter start-up mode showing:
- power -

WARNING
The laser beam is switched on when any indication is shown on the
display, or the backlight is illuminated.
The start-up sequence will make sure the laser is tuned to the correct temperature
before it is switched on, and the instrument performs a self-test on all systems. Allow
about 5 minutes for the instrument to start the laser.
The instrument is aligned for maximum transmission at the factory. When the laser
has started up the LCD should show a transmission close to 100% unless the
alignment has changed during transport. Let the instrument run for at least one hour
before eventually realigning the instrument as to allow the temperature of the
instrument to stabilize and stresses in mechanical parts to settle. If the transmission
is below 90% fine adjustment of the mirrors inside the laser beam alignment chamber
is recommended to maximise the transmission (refer to Section 3.4). If the LCD
shows «Laser line-up error» and «Low transmission» a more comprehensive
realignment or cleaning of the mirrors may be required. Please refer to Section 5.2.2
or contact your local distributor for assistance.
3.4 Alignment of laser beam

1 pcs 5mm Allen key to remove the protective cover
