La figura mostra la compensazione del rumore con NoiseGard™: le normali cuffie
microfoniche attutiscono il rumore soprattutto nelle gamme di frequenze media ed alta.
In caso di frequenze al di sotto di 500 Hz le normali cuffie microfoniche, proteggono in
modo insufficiente. La compensazione attiva del rumore riduce di circa 25 dB il rumore
compreso nella gamma tra 25 e 500 Hz. La somma di attenuazione tra la compensazione
del rumore attiva e passiva è quindi di circa 30 dB sull’intera gamma audio.
Una riduzione del rumore di 10 dB viene soggettivamente percepita come dimezzamento
del volume. Se il rumore diminuisce di altri 10 dB, questo viene nuovamente percepito
come un dimezzamento del volume ecc.
