corporelles.

ménagers, votre bureau local ou régional de gestion des déchets ou votre point de vente.

Charger

Always follow the instructions in the user manual and on the label of the battery charger.

The charger should be handled with care.

High voltage in the charger! DO NOT disassemble or replace parts of the charger.

DO NOT connect the charger to the power outlet for a long time. Unplug from the power outlet when not charging.

Lubrication

Lubricate the chains about every two weeks with bicycle-specific chain lube.

Chain Tension and Adjustment

The correct chain tension: with 3.5 oz (100 g) pressure, there should be 0.6–1.0 in (15–25 mm) free play between the chains.

How to adjust:

Loosen the axle nut on both sides, then adjust the bolt. When the proper free play is achieved, tighten the axle nuts. Make sure
there is no abnormal noise and the wheels can turn freely.

Tightening torque: 12–14 N·m

Brakes and Friction Components

The drum brake needs to be adjusted by professional technicians. Only replace the friction components with the original spare
parts. Please contact Segway-Ninebot after-sales service for details.

Maintenance Schedule and Items

Regularly check the brakes, steering system, rims, etc. See the details below:

Use a torque wrench to check

the tightness of motor bolts,

crank arm bolts, pedals, chain

ring bolts, saddle bolts, seat

post bolts, stem bolts, handlebar

bolts, and all accessory

mounting bolts/screws. Refer to

the tightening torque table for

the correct torque value.

Clean the bike and inspect the

frame and components for

signs of wear such as cracks.

Check all bearing system

components: hubs, headset

and pedals. Adjust and/or

overhaul as needed.

Check safety-related

accessories: horn, headlight,

rear light, brake light,

reflectors.

Accelerate and decelerate to

check for jamming or noise.

Check for rear hub jamming,

jumping and make sure the

axles are correctly connected.

Clean the drivetrain (chain,

chain rings, sprockets).

Check for chain wear and

replace worn parts.

Check for chain ring wear and

replace worn parts.

As with all mechanical components, EPAC is subjected to wear and high stresses. Different materials and components may

react to wear or stress fatigue in different ways. If the design life of a component has been exceeded, it may suddenly fail,

possibly causing injuries to the rider. Any form of crack, scratches or change of coloring in highly stressed areas indicate that

the life of the component has been reached and it should be replaced.
