D. REMOVING MAGNETRON
(Figures 11 Through 12)
(1) Remove the vent grille by loosening two screws.
(Figure 11)
(2) Remove the outcase and inner cover. See page 7-5.
(3) Remove four tap tite screws securing the
magnetron to the wave guide.
(4) Remove the magnetron VERY CAREFULLY.
NOTES:
•
When removing the magnetron, make sure that its
dome does not hit any adjacent parts, or it may be
damaged.
•
When replacing the magnetron, be sure to install the
magnetron gasket in the correct position and be sure
that the gasket is in good condition.
•
After replacing the magnetron, check for microwave
energy leakage with a survey meter Check
microwave energy leakage must be below the limit
of 5 mW/cm
2
. (All service adjustments should be
made for minimum microwave energy leakage
readings.)
E. REMOVING THE INVERTER MODULE
(Figures 13 Through 15)
(1) Remove the vent grille by loosening two screws.
(Figure 11)
(2) Remove the outcase and inner cover. See page 7-5.
(3) Remove the base plate by loosening four screws.
(Figure 13)
(4) Disconnect two leadwire of the fan motor
assembly.
(5) Disconnect the leadwire of the inverter PCB and
H.V. cable of the magnetron.
(6) Remove the earth wire screw.
(7) Remove three screws securing to duct assembly
and two screws securing to fan guide. (Figure 14)
(8) Remove the screw securing to inverter module
assembly.
(9) Push the inverter guide hook and out the inverter
module assembly lifting up duct assembly.
(10) Open the upper inverter guide.
(11) Remove three screws securing to PCB and pull
out PCB. (Figure 15)
