If cargo is properly secured on the
boarding platform, it can be used as a
handle or removed and set aside in
the footwell to get access to the han-
dle. Always properly secure the cargo
before riding.
2. With the other hand on the board-
ing platform, lift your body until you
can lay one knee on the boarding
platform.
3. Lay the other knee on the boarding
platform.

4. Take hold the seat or the seat
strap to help maintain your bal-
ance and step forward onto the
footboards on either side of the
seat.

5. Sit astride the seat.
It is possible to swim toward side,
use passenger handhold and/or
seat strap to lift yourself aboard.

The side boarding method is not rec-
ommended as a first try boarding
method. It must only be used in last
resort as it is not the easiest method
to board a watercraft.
