Remember when the battery voltage
drops below 12.3V, the LOW BAT-
TERY indicator lamp will light up and
the electrical system will shut down
after 75 seconds. At this point, the bat-
tery still have plenty of energy to crank
engine. Running the battery down to
12.3 volts repeatedly will not damage
the battery.
Running accessories while engine is
turned off will drain the battery slowly
or quickly depending on which acces-
sory is running. To lengthen the time
before reaching the 12.3 volts thresh-
old,
turn
off
all
unnecessary
accessories.
Here are some tips to minimize bat-
tery usage:

Lower the sound system volume
–
Turn off heated grips (if equipped).
