1- 6  Operation modes

At the power on, the VERSO 50 is in manual mode. With the
buttons you can choose the functioning mode you prefer.

1- 6.1  Automatic mode

Push the AUT button to select this functioning mode.  There
are two different functioning logics:
a)  Mains failure: the remote start output (J5.4) is activated

in case of mains failure (or out of limits) and is  de-
activated  in the presence of the same.  This is the
standard logic.

b)  EJPT: if programmed for EJPT (see menu M6), the

remote start output is activated if J4.4 is closed to
negative, and will be deactivated when the input is open.
For more informations about this function, see menu M6.

1- 6.2  Manual mode

The  remote start output is activated with KG button and
deactivated with KR button:  keeping and releasing quickly
the KR button, the remote start output is removed
immediately;  while keeping pressed the KR  button for 3
seconds,  the  controller switches the load on mains  side
immediately but the remote start output is removed only after
the cooling time.

1- 6.3  Reset mode

The  remote start output cannot be activated. If the mains is
available it is connected to the load. If you select Reset
mode, the alarms are reset and the remote start output is
deactivated. If the cause of the alarm remains, the  alarm
message  is still present. Push the RESET button to select
this functioning mode.

1- 6.4  Test mode

Manual test:  with the controller in Manual mode, press the
TEST button  to activates this function.  The  remote  start
output is activated to test the genset for a programmable
time.  (Test duration can be programmed inside "M3-  Test
setup", parameter "M"). When the test is finish, automatically

the controller returns in MAN mode and the test led turns off.
You can also finish the test manually,  pressing again the
TEST button.  During this type  of  MAN  test, the load
switching can be controlled only by KG and KR buttons, even
if the mains is  faulty.

Automatic test: there are n.2 different enabling conditions
about the automatic test:

-By operator control

: with the controller in Automatic mode,

press the TEST button to activates this function
-

By programmation:

in the menu "M3- Test setup", you can

program daily, weekly, monthly tests. These tests can be
performed ONLY if the controller is in AUTO mode. You can
also select, by programmation, if you want to perform the test
with or without load.

When the automatic  test  is performed, the TEST led is ON
and the generator starting signal is activated. When the test
is finish, automatically the controller returns in AUT mode
and the test led turns off. You can also force to finish the test
pressing TEST button when the TEST led is ON. During this
type  of AUT  test, the load switching is managed
automatically by the controller.

1- 6.5  Alarms

In case of alarm, the display shows its description. If more
different alarms are detected, they appear individually in
sequence. For each alarm it is available a message that can
help to identify the source of the problem. The alarm reset
can be made by pressing the RESET button; by this, the
alarm is deleted and the controller  goes in Reset mode,
preventing accidental generator starting attempts. If the
alarm, after reset, still remains on the display, the cause of
the alarm is not removed.
