Command Definitions
HIS (History)
Access Levels 1, 2
The
HIS [
x
]
command displays the summary of the latest 10 events or allows
you to clear the history buffer that contains the latest 10 events in nonvolatile
memory.
If no parameters are specified in the
HIS
command, the relay displays the 10
most recent events in reverse chronological order.
If
x
is a number (0–10), the relay displays the
x
most recent events.
NOTE:
Automated clearing of the
event buffer should be limited to
reduce the possibility of wearing out
the nonvolatile memory. Limit
automated
HIS C
commands to once
per week or less.
If
x
is “C” or “c,” the relay clears the history buffer and all corresponding
event reports in nonvolatile memory.
The history report includes: the date and time the event was triggered, the type
of event, and the front-panel targets if the event was a TRIP type of event. For
more information on events and event reports, see
in Section 9: Event Reports and SER
To display the relay event history, enter the following command:

In response to the
ID
command, the relay sends the following information:

where:
FID reports the FID string.
CID reports the checksum of the ROM code.
DEVID reports the terminal ID as set by the TID setting.
DEVCODE reports the Modbus
®
code (53). The code is used for
identification purposes by the SEL-2020/2030 and is not part of the
Modbus subsystem.
PARTNO reports the part number.
