Clamping insert with
gripper pads –
outside gripping
At the factory, the top jaws are installed on the base jaws of the
gripper as illustrated in the following graphic. The gripper pads are
used to increase the coefficient of friction.

To increase the clamping range, the top jaws can also be installed
so that they are offset outwards by one increment.
