8 Troubleshooting
8.1 Module does not move?
Possible cause Corrective action
Cables not connected correctly

Check whether all electrical connections are
properly established
Wrong cable, controller or power sup-
ply unit was used

Check whether original SCHUNK
components or components recommended
by SCHUNK with the correct specification
were used (see also Chapter 5.1 - 5.3 page
13 ff.). Consult your SCHUNK contact
person (see Chapter 12 page 39).

8.2 Module does not execute the full stroke?
Possible cause Corrective action
Accumulation of dirt between the rotor
and the stator

Clean and grease the rotor; dismantle and
clean module, if necessary (see
Chapter 9.2 page 32 and 9.3, page 33).
Bolting surface is not sufficiently level

Check levelness of bolting surface (see
Chapter 7.1 page 18).
Components loose, e.g. due to over-
load

Send module to SCHUNK with a repair
order (recommended) or dismantle
module and inspect (see Chapter 9.4,
page 34).
