Oils and fats
Please only use fats with a high smoke point for frying (observe manufacturer’s informati-
on). Only fats and oils which do not break down under higher temperatures are suitable
for frying, e. g. concentrated butter, coconut oil or refined sunflower oil.
Please note:
The
development of spoke indicates the burning of fats.
Native oils, e. g. cold-pressed olive or rapeseed oil, are not suitable for frying. These
oils break down under low temperatures and develop brown resin, so-called tar resin.
Limescale
Limescale deposits can be identified by matt white to dark grey spots in the juice ex-
tractor. Limescale deposits can easily be removed by citric acid, lemon juice or vinegar
(see Discolourations).
Burnt food
Boil burnt food briefly with a tablespoon of bicarbonate of soda, baking powder or
dishwasher detergent and some water and leave it to take effect overnight. Then rinse
the juice extractor thoroughly.
