Warranty
Final provision
With your decision to buy a Schindelhauer Bikes bicycle, you may call a
high-quality product your own. According to European warranty terms and
conditions, the period of warranty is two years. It begins with the delivery
to the customer. As proof of purchase and delivery, please store the sales
receipt for the duration of warranty.
In addition to the general two-year period of warranty, a reverse burden
of proof is in effect for a period of six months following the purchase.
After this period, the buyer has to prove that the fault was already present
when the product was delivered and was not in fact caused by improper
maintenance or wear and tear. We grant a 5 year warranty on all Schindel-
hauer Bikes frames with regard to material defects and processing errors,
starting from the date of purchase. The warranty is limited to the original
buyer of the product only and is not transferrable. Should the product be
transferred to another person, this warranty expires.
The warranty does not cover:
1. Damage caused by improper handling (see Intended Usage) or by force
majeure.
2. All parts subject to functional wear as far as there is no production- or
material failure (page 55).
3. Damage caused by improper or poor maintenance and care, non-pro-
fessional repairs, rebuilding or replacements of parts.
4. Damage caused by accidents or other abnormal interferences as far
they are not traced back to information or product failures.
5. Repairs with used parts, or following damages due to this.
6. Damage caused under competitive circumstances.
7. Subsequent additional parts which are not included in the scope of
delivery at the date of delivery, or damages caused while assembling
these parts.
Most of the provided information in this manual is universally written to
apply to different bike models. Therefore please also make sure to read
all of the bike part and component manuals as well. If you would like any
more information about any of the points mentioned here, your dealer will
be glad to help you. Ride safe at all times.
Your Schindelhauer Team.
