4.6.2
Start up
Read ”
4.1 Precautions
” before starting the machine.
Make sure that the power plug and hoses for dust collector and water (if used) are connected to
the machine.
Turn on the dust collector if used.
Establish the remote connection according to “
4.6.1 Selecting remote control
”.
Make sure that the “EMERGENCY STOP” on the control panel (8) is in its upper position. If
not, release it by turning it clock wise until it rises and press the “STOP” button (8) on the
remote control once to reset.
Press the “START” button (7).

Stop
Press the “STOP” button (8).
Wait for the machine to come to a complete stop.
Turn off the dust collector if used.
4.6.4
Emergency stop
When the emergency stop (6) is used the remote connection is lost and the machine will stop.
To reset the machine, re-establish the remote connection according to “
4.6.1 Selecting remote
control
”.
4.6.5
Adjusting grinding speed
Turn the “SPEED” knob (1) clock wise to increase the grinding speed and counter clock wise to
decrease it. See “
1.2 Mechanical specifications
” for the rotation speed range.
4.6.6
Change grinding direction
Use the “L/R” switch (2) to select grinding direction. The machine will automatically come to a
complete stop and restart in the selected direction.
4.6.7
Assisted drive
Make sure that the joystick (1) is on according to “
4.5.7.4 Start up
”.
Select proper speed mode according to “
4.5.7.5 Speed modes”
.
Set the drive mode selector (9) to “N” (neutral).
Move the joystick (1) on the remote control in the direction you want to drive the machine.
