Setting a Stack of Originals in the Document Feeder
You can insert a stack of originals into the document feeder. These originals are individually fed onto and
removed from the exposure glass (platen glass).

Some originals are unsuitable for the document feeder.

Do not press down or hold originals after inserting them.
❐
While originals are fed from the original table to the exposure glass (platen glass), do not pull them out.
❐
Do not lift the document feeder until the original has been completely fed out.

Correct any curl, fold, or crease in the originals
before setting the originals.

Make sure the Insert Original indicator is lit and
the exposure glass (platen glass) is clear of origi-
nals.

Adjust the guide to the original size.

Set the originals
face up
into the document
feeder until the Insert Original indicator goes
off.
Note

The last page should be on the bottom.

The original guide must touch the front side of the
originals.
❐
Do not stack originals above the limit mark.
