9. Error Indications
The soldering station will display various error indicators in case of any problem. Refer to the "Inspection and Replacement
of Soldering Iron Assembly" if the following indicators are displayed.
S-E Sensor error: If any part of the sensor or its circuit fails, the "S-E" indicator will be displayed and the current supplied
to the soldering iron handle will be cut off.
H-E Heating element error: If the soldering station cannot supply power to the heating element, the window displays "H-E"
indicator, indicating that the heating core may be damaged.
10. Inspection and Replacement of Soldering Iron Handle
When the soldering iron handle fails, do inspection to identify the damaged component before replacement.
10.1 Inspection of Heating Element and Sensor Assembly
1
)
Unplug the plug and determine the resistance between the pins of the connecting plug according to the table below.
2
)
If the resistances "a" and "b" are different from those listed in the table below, replace the heating element
(
or
sensor
)
or the handle wire.
3
)
If the resistance "c" is greater than that listed in the following table, gently wipe the oxide layer at the position shown
in the figure below with abrasive paper or steel wool.

10.2 Replacement of Heating Core by Disassembling Soldering Iron Handle
1
)
Unscrew the soldering bit set nut and remove the soldering bit steel casing pipe and the soldering bit.
2
)
Unscrew the fixing insert from the handle assembly.
3
)
Pull the heating core assembly and the handle wire out from the handle

.
4
)
Pull the handle wire clip out from the plastic locater notch and pull the handle wire connector out from the pin.
