4.4. OPTIONALS.
MOVABLE CASTORS
It is easy to move the press in or out the line when movable castors are provided.
SLUG EJECTOR CONVEYOR
For fully continuous and automatic finishing line operation a "slug ejector
conveyor" is advisable between the Cutter and the Press. This independently
driven conveyor has two control photocells and a pneumatic deflection flap.
If the plodder's extrusion rate exceeds the stamping rate, the photocells signal the
deflection flap to eject the extra slugs on the recycle conveyor. Motor power 0.37
kW.
CONNECTING CONVEYOR between cutter UNICUT/SAVONCUT and press STAMPEX
For fully continuous and automatic finishing line operation an upstream UNICUT or
SAVONCUT single blade electronic cutter with the “recycle mode feature" is
advisable. When the Stampex press is momentarily stopped or if the plodder's
extrusion rate exceeds the stamping rate, the Unicut cutter starts cutting short slugs
that fall into the recycle system.
An independently driven connecting conveyor must be interfaced between the
Unicut/Savoncut and the Stampex press for the positive operation of the system.
DIE CHILLER
Low temperature glycol die chiller for cooling the stamping dies to as low as -30°C
(-22°F).
Rated capacity at 0°C (32°F) is 8.600 Kcal/h, at -30°C (-22°F) is 2900 Kcal/h.
BUILT-IN TWO-ZONE DIES THERMOREGULATOR
The two zone system permits to set and control two different die coolant
temperatures, one for the upper and one for the lower die(s).
When the machine stops the cooling is automatically cut off.
Each zone has its own digital thermoregulator, special 0.37 kW pump and fast-
disconnect ½ inch size hydraulic circuit.
DIE SETS
Depending on bar (tablet) size the press can stamp using die sets with 2 to 6
cavities.
All dies are designed for low temperature die chilling and are complete of
movable inserts.
Standard die material is Muntz-metal (drawn brass), other options are available
(AMPCOLY or similar materials) and finishing is sandblasted with glass micro-
spheres. On request silver-plating of the die surface is supplied.
