DB9 Port
The KBox E-410-APL reserves four cutouts to flexibly accommodate 9-pin D-SUB connectors. Kontron has defined the
port configuration as listed in the following table.

The RS232 port allows the one-to-one connection of a serial peripheral device that allow the serial data exchange.
The RS232/422/485 port can be configured via BIOS setup to RS232, RS422 or RS485 mode. RS422 and RS485 allow
the multidrop connection of up to 10 and 32 serial peripheral devices respectively.
The CAN Bus port allows the multidrop connection of serial devices that conforms to the international standard ISO-
11898 standard communication interface.
The DIO port provides 8 digital input / output channels to connect digital signals for input and output purposes.

WLAN Antenna Port
The KBox E-410-APL reserves two covered cutouts for the Reverse (RP) SMA connectors of the WLAN antennas
(mPCIe WLAN card with 2 antennas is an option).
