General Operation
Powering ON/OFF
When you first connect the unit to the mains socket. The unit will be in
STANDBY
mode
and the standby indicator will illuminate red.
• Press the
STANDBY
button on the unit or the remote control to switch the unit on.
• Press the
STANDBY
button on the unit or the remote control to switch the unit back to
standby mode.
• Disconnect the mains plug from the mains socket if you want to switch the unit off
completely.
Selecting Modes
• Tap the
CD/iPod/USB/CARD
icon on the unit or press the
CD/iPod/USB/CARD
button
on the remote control repeatedly to switch between
CD
,
iPod
,
USB
and
CARD
modes.
• Tap the
DAB/FM/AUX
icon on the unit or press the
DAB/FM/AUX
button on the remote
control repeatedly to switch between
DAB
,
FM
and
AUX
modes.
• Selected mode will show on the display.
• After the clock has been set, if there is no signal under the
CD
,
iPod
,
USB
or
Card
mode or no iPhone/iPod docked during
iPod
mode, the unit will automatically
switch off within 15 minutes.
• During Standby mode, press any buttons to light up the display for 10 seconds.
• Please turn the unit off completely to save energy when not using it.
Adjusting the Volume
Tap the
/–
icons on the unit or press the
/–
buttons on the remote
control to adjust the volume to the desired level.
Mute Function (Remote Control Only)
Press the
MUTE
button on the remote control to temporarily stop the speakers emitting
sound. The display will show “
MUTE
”. To cancel mute and restore the sound, tap the
/–
icons on the unit or press the
MUTE
button again or press the
/–
buttons on the remote control.
Auto Setting the Clock
When you first turn on your radio it will automatically set the time by searching out the DAB
signal. It will continue to search for the clock whilst in DAB mode until it has managed to set
the time. If after 10 minutes the clock has not automatically set itself try repositioning the
radio to get a better reception.
