TROUBLESHOOTING
② If a ‘beep-beep’ sound is heard
continuously, perform a Forced Operation.
If a ‘ddiriririring’ sound is heard
continuously, perform a Forced Defrosting
operation. If the ‘dding dding dding’ sound
is heard continuously, the buzzer sound is
heard.
Has the Forced
Operating or Forced Defrosting mode been
selected?
Start
Cancel the Forced Operation or
Forced Defrosting operation or turn
the power off and then on.
Does the buzzer continue
to sound even after the power has been
turned off and then on again?
Normal
Check if there is any foreign substance on the Test Jumper on the
Main PCB and if there are any short-circuited devices.
Yes

① If a ‘dingdong' sound is heard
continuously or the ‘Refrigerator door
is opened’ message is displayed.
Is the door open slightly?
Figure out the reason for this such as a defective
door gasket or food stuck between the door and
the main body and then solve the problem.
Check if the wire is open-circuited and
then replace the Main PBA if necessary.
The door is slightly open.
The door is completely closed.
Does the voltage
change when the door is opened or
closed?
Replace the PBA when the
'dingdong' sound is heard
continuously.
Yes
No
Is the MAIN PCB connector
CN40 properly connected?
Reconnect the connector.
Repair it if there is a contact
problem.
No
Yes
Is the hinge connector
inserted properly?
Reconnect the connector.
Repair it if there is a contact
problem.
No
Yes
Is the location of the reed switch of the
hinge correct?
Correct the location of the
reed switch.
No
Yes
Does the hinge reed switch work properly
when you hold a magnet close to and
then move it away from the switch?
Check if the wire is open-
circuited.
Yes
No
Is the reed switch (part) normal?
Replace the door switch if
necessary.
No
Yes
Start
4-2-12. When the alarm is heard continuously (buzzer sound)
F-Door detection : CN40 #2-#5
R-Door detection : CN40 #1-#5
CV-Door detection : CN40 #3-#5
- The normal voltage are as follows :
When the door is open : DC 5V
When the door is closed : DC 0V
※ Tips when checking the reed switch
The reed switch is turned on or off by the
magnetic force of the magnet attached to the door.
- When the reed switch is magnetised → 0Ω
(when the door is closed.)
- When the reed switch is not magnetised → ∞Ω
(when the door is open.)
If the magnetic force of the magnet on the door is
weak or the location of the reed switch is not
correct, consider replacing the part.
- Check if the resistance of the reed switch
changes to 0Ω and ∞Ω when you separate
the switch and change the switch status to on
and off.
