Security Settings
The Security settings menus let you set encryption options, password visibility, administrator settings, and
credential storage options.
Security Settings Overview
Many security settings are dependent on Screen lock settings, SIM lock settings, etc. The following table
outlines the settings available through the Security settings menu:

Device administrators
View or turn off device administrators.
Unknown sources
Allow or deny installation of apps from sources other than the Google
Play Store app.
Encrypt device
Encrypt all data on your phone.
Encrypt external SD card
Encrypt the data on an optional installed SD card.
Make passwords visible
Toggle to show or hide passwords when entering form data.
Security policy updates
Automatically check for changes to the security policy and download
any updates, to improve security and service.
Send security reports
Only send security reports to Samsung when it is connected to a Wi-Fi
network.
Storage type
Back your security credentials to hardware.
Trusted credentials
Display trusted CA certificates.
Install from phone storage
Install certificates from storage.
Clear credentials
Remove all credentials from the phone.
Trust agents
Set screen lock type to use.
Access application usage
data
View which applications can access your device’s usage data.

Set screen type to use.
