Wi-Fi Direct Settings
Wi-Fi Direct allows device-to-device connections so you can transfer large amounts of data over
a Wi-Fi connection.

Wi-Fi Direct
. A check mark displayed indicates Wi-Fi Direct is active.
Kies via Wi-Fi
Kies Air allows you to sync your Windows PC wirelessly with your phone provided they are both
on the same Wi-Fi network. You can view and share call logs, videos, photos, music,
bookmarks, ringtones, and even send SMS messages from your PC.
4G Settings
4G is a service that must be included in your service plan and also available within your area.
4G coverage is currently available in only certain markets. For more details on 4G availability go
to: www.sprint.com/4G and click the See 4G Cities link from the bottom of the page.
Depending on which icons appear within the Notifications area, your services and features will
change. The following table indicates what functions and features are available when
combinations of these service icons appear:
Note: If 4G service is not included in your service plan, the 4G icon will not appear in the
Notifications area.
4G is up to 10x faster than 3G (based on download speed comparison of 3G's ~600
kbps vs. 4G's ~ 6 Mbps). (Actual speeds may vary.)
Sprint 4G is currently available in over 35 markets and counting, and on select devices
such as the Epic 4G. See www.sprint.com/4G for details. Not all services are available
on 4G and coverage may default to 3G/ separate network where 4G unavailable.
By default, your device’s 4G feature is turned off.
To turn 4G on:
1. Press

4G settings

2. Tap the 4G field to activate the feature (checkmark indicates active). The device scans
for an available 4G network.
or
1. Touch and hold the Status bar, and then slide your finger down the screen.
2. Tap the onscreen 4G icon to turn on the 4G service (turns green when enabled).
