
Limit switches
For operation of the limit switches, switch-
ing amplifiers have to be connected in the
output circuit. Their function is to control the
limit values of the control circuit according
to NAMUR, thus ensuring operational relia-
bility of the positioner.
If the positioner is installed in hazardous
areas, the relevant regulations must be ob-
served.
Binary input
A passive floating contact can be used at
the binary input. The positioner signals the
status over the bus protocol.
Forced venting
For the positioners with forced venting func-
tion, a voltage between 6 and 24 V DC
must be connected to the terminals 81 and
82.
Note!
If there is no voltage connected or the volt-
age drops, the positioner vents the actuator
and does not respond to the reference vari-
able.
