7.
Transport and storage.
7.1
Transport on a vehicle
Check the height and width of the SAMON Onion Loader and mark any projecting parts, where
applicable.
Make sure that the machine is fastened securely with strong rope or tensioning belts before the
transport.
Block the wheels with wheel blocks.
7.2
Transport behind a tractor
Observe the prevailing traffic regulations when you transport the SAMON Onion Loader behind a
tractor on the public roads.
Make sure that the conveyor belt has been folded in before you begin to transport the SAMON Onion
Loader.
Make sure that the intake has been folded in before you begin to transport the SAMON Onion Loader.
Never switch on the sieve, hedgehog or conveyor belts while transporting the SAMON Onion Loader.
When you are steering the tractor bear in mind that the tail of the SAMON Onion Loader swings out in
bends.
The driver's view is obstructed when the tractor is towing the SAMON Onion Loader.
7.3
Storage
Clean the machine thoroughly.
NOTE!!!
When using a high pressure spray make sure that you do not direct the spray on or in bearings and any
electronics, where relevant.
Check the tyre pressure and inspect the tyres for damage (2,5 bar).
Check all wearing parts and replace any worn parts in good time.
Check all bearings and replace when the play is excessive.
Inspect the sieve, hedgehog and conveyor belts for damage and breakage.
Inspect all guide and vibratory rollers.
Inspect the feed roller for damage and breakage.
Inspect the complete hydraulic system for damage and leaks.
Inspect the complete electronic system for damage.
Lubricate the entire machine (see the Lubrication Section for more details).
Check the oil level in de gearbox and top up if necessary.
Check the oil level of the hydraulic system and top up if necessary.
Inspect all protective covers and rubbers.
Inspect the universal joints and the sliding parts of the PTO shaft for wear.
Lubricate the universal joints and the sliding parts of the PTO shaft.
Inspect the protective cover of the PTO shaft for cracks.
Check the safety chains of the PTO shaft.
Inspect the safety cords and locking clips for damage and cracks.
Store the machine when it is dry.
