Maintenance
WARNING!!!
Make sure that the tractor's engine has been switched off and the key has been removed from the ignition
before you carry out maintenance on the SAMON Onion Loader.
6.1
Lubrication schedule
The SAMON Onion Loader needs to be lubricated regularly to achieve optimum performance.

6.2
Level and temperature of the hydraulic oil
A sight-glass and thermometer are mounted on the
side of the hydraulic oil tank.
When no oil is visible in the sight glass then top up
the hydraulic oil.
The temperature of the hydraulic oil when the
machine is in operation should be about 65 °C.
This temperature is in part determined by the
ambient temperature.
The hydraulic tank is filled with “H46” hydraulic oil
when the machine leaves the factory.
NOTE!!!
The hydraulic oil must be replaced every 2 years.
6.3
Replacing the gearbox oil
The gearbox is filled with SAE 90 gearbox oil when the machine leaves the factory.
Remove the venting nipple (A) on the top of the
gearbox and the plug (B) on the bottom of the
gearbox.
Drain the gearbox and collect the oil in a container:
make sure that the oil is processed in an
environmentally-responsible manner.
Fit the plug (B) in the bottom of the gearbox.
Fill the gearbox with 0.35 litres of SAE 90 gearbox oil.
Fit the venting nipple (A).
NOTE!!!
The gearbox oil must be replaced every 2 years.
